Australia (again)

March 12, 2006 / by william111

We have relatives that want to go to Australia on vacation. We are too busy right now to do much serious stuff regarding suggestions, so we will open the door for you all to give us your best experiences or desires regarding this geography from "down under."

Give it your best shot including Uluru, Great Ocean Road, Outback and the Barrier Reef. Besides helping us out, it would just be an interesting piece of data to know.

If you'e in Melbourne, definetly do the Great Ocean Road trip. It's fantastic! And if you're in Sydney, at trip to the Blue Mountains is definetly worth the long train ride. Stay for day day to see the main sights which are absolutely breath-taking, or stay for a couple of nights to really explore the area. That and the opera house were my favourite Sydney things. Oh, and the harbour, too. Also, if you're in the mood for beaches, I'd suggest heading up north to Noosa, Rainbow Beach or Caloundra. Surfer's Paradise on the Gold Coast is way too tacky and touristy (though you may want to go somewhere touristy, I don't know), but if you want to go to the Gold Coast - excellent theme parks there, by the way - I'd head to Burleigh Heads. Great beach, and not very commercial, unlike Surfer's Paradise. But if you're really in the mood for beaches and adventure, try Tangalooma Island or Stradbroke Island. Go snorkelling, parasailing, swim with the dolphins or taboggan down Tangalooma's sand dunes. Fantastic. [ROLLEYES]
