Our Cruise to the Baltic seemed to have passed in a flash. We began with two nights in Coppenhagen, Denmark and had stops in Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, the Neatherlands, Belgium and ending in the United Kingdom.
There was not a clinker in the bunch, but for historical reasons, the best was St. Petersburg, Russia. It is pretty difficult to keep sights of the Hermitage and Catherine's palace out of mind after visiting and seeing all those amazing paintings.
I am not an art buff by any means, but I was seriously impressed by the works of some of the masters.
I just may have to re-arrange my sequence of beautiful cities. San Francisco, Sydney and Boston have a serious challenge now from Stockholm. To be fair, I have not seen Stockholm in the winter, so please take that into consideration.
Our cruise was via the Orient Line, but I do know that Celebrity has a similar cruise except that it leaves from Amsterdam rather than Copenhagen. For sure, any cruise like this should include the Kiel Canal, an experienced that should not be missed.
