Spouse is Headed for Hilo.

She is going to visit Keiko, ostensible to start preparations for the wedding.  she already has the material ready for a wedding dress.  They have to scheme regarding the wedding itself in terms of food, style, etc. etc.

Moms and daughters need their space at this time so I won't be going with  her.  We were there in May of last year, so I won't be missing much in terms of visiting sites.

Hilo is a beautiful place.  The beaches are of volcanic origin and are black rather than the beige we are used to in the continental U.S.

It rains quite a bit in Hilo, daily.  Nice place though.  It is a city of about 50k people and is almost rural.  There is a new airline that flies directly from Oakland, California, to Hilo and right now its fares are quite reasonable.  Won't last long, but you do what you can.
